Meet the Coaches

Brandon Myers

Brandon is one of the lead professional coaches in Big Time Crossfit. He is a passionate fitness trainer.  Brandon likes to believe that he has been “training for something entire life”.

He has trained for Crossfit for 5 years. Professionally, he has coached a high school football team for 2 years as well as training an international football team for 1 year and coached for Crossfit Training for 4 years. 

To top it all off he has also trained in a global gym. Before all that Brandon has CrossFitted for 5 years and has played high school sports and college football. So, it would not be wrong to say that he has always been in constant training and has led quite an athletic life.

Brandon is a certified trainer holding L1 and L2 certificate along with weightlifting certification as well.

Brandon is a passionate fitness trainer who strives to inspire people and as he said so himself he wants to be the reason for people not giving up.

When asked what his passion for Crossfit is, here is what Brandon said; 

Community, you can’t find a community like this in a global gym. You can travel the world and make new friends just through Crossfit; it’s a universal language now. There’s no age limit, EVERYONE can do it. Helping people break through the mold/limits that they have placed on themselves, finding their inner BADASS. Jennifer Short

Jennifer trained her whole life from 5k’s to marathons, but she started Crossfit in 2013.

She became a certified personal trainer in 1998 and spent a year as a Fitness Specialist for Abbott Labs in Irving. She soon realized that her true love is working with kids so she became a teacher and coach and she hasn’t looked back. She has been teaching and coaching kids from Elementary to High School, from physical education to math, and has coached volleyball, basketball, track, softball and cross country for the past 17 years. She became L1 Crossfit certified in 2014 and Crossfit Kids certified in 2015.

“My passions having to do with Crossfit is teaching young people the importance of having an active, healthy lifestyle and to be the version of myself that I can be.

Facilities

The gym provides all modern workout equipment that is necessary for the perfect CrossFit fitness routine. All equipment that is required for specified programs under the everyday CrossFit WOD is provided by this box.

It provides all necessary facilities such as 

  • a ton of floor space
  • a separate room for intro classes 
  • pull-up structures

  • dumbbells
  • kettlebells 
  • and a separate room for the Olympic Lifting Club.

Programs

Crossfit fundamental course

It is a fundamental course that is mandatory for anyone who joins as a beginner. It is a specified workout that is designed for beginners and is compulsory to pass this workout. This is the basic training program for beginner trainees. This is mainly a fundamentals/essential movements class that must be taken prior to taking regular classes.

They stand as trial classes, which last for a specified time, that all new members must undergo one on one with the training coaches before they get to start with regular Crossfit classes as regular members.

The main goal is to basically help beginners be prepared to feel comfortable with the regular training routines.

 

Crossfit Training

This is a complete program that provides the ultimate fitness routine and exercises to achieve all goals of physical health and fitness. It includes many harsh exercise routines as well as routine exercise to help stimulate the body muscles.

It is a thoroughly planned out fitness plan and includes constantly varied, high functional movements in its exercise routines which help people of all sizes attain their desired physical fitness and health goals with the help of professional trainers and coaches at their side.

Along with striving to achieve physical fitness goals, this routine training helps people improve their cardiovascular health in a tough yet highly encouraging environment with high levels of determinacy.

 

Olympic Weight Training

This is the harshest training that includes weight lifting and professional Olympic level training program.

It is taught and instructed by professional coaches under a highly influential and pumping environment. Several different kinds of weight lifting techniques are done in this exercise training routine to target muscles of all parts of your body and build them up each separately.

It is basic weightlifting in the most professional and athletic style to achieve maximum fitness and health benefits under professional supervision and guidance.

It helps you achieve weightlifting goals and building body muscles as required but in a step by step manner until you have reached the ultimate professional Olympic level from where you can practice regularly with more and more weights.

 

Personal Training

The personal training program is a personal one on one program to provide a separate training session and workout to achieve the perfect fitness goals. It is an age free fitness program.

It allows each member to acquire full-time fitness and health routines and exercises under the guidance of their own individual personal trainer. It gives maximum benefits as each person is separately focused on by a professional trainer.
